About

I am an award-winning and internationally published communications professional with more than 20 years of professional experience. My background includes writing, editing, web design and development, social media management, photography, and filmmaking and videography.

I have been an editor and writer for several print and web publications, including The Prague Post, Texas Music magazine, Texas Nursing magazine, Experience Austin magazine, Austin American-Statesman, Citysearch, and others.

In 2010, I launched Nostalgia Film, a Super 8 film & video boutique production company for weddings and other occasions. In 2009, I launched Southwestern Bohemia (formerly SoCoDivka Designs and currently on hiatus), a vintage-inspired jewelry line full of bold color.

Most recently, I am working as the communications specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association Capital of Texas Chapter. And previously, I’ve worked as the communications specialist at Texas Nurses Association during the Coronavirus pandemic. Previously, I worked as a Webmaster for The Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE), a research and service initiative of the Community College Leadership Program at The University of Texas at Austin (2007-2012), and I worked as a Lead Internet Developer for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (2004-2007).

I’ve been based out of Austin since the mid-1990s, aside from a period working in Prague, Czech Republic. I am an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin (Bachelor’s of Journalism and Czech with two years of film study in Radio-Television-Film).
